Achille Castiglioni
Wall Mirror
1977

This rectangular mirror (30 x 70 cm) was designed in 1971 as part of the decor of the da Lino restaurant, where it was part of Castiglioni’s architectural scheme. It went into production with Kartell in 1977. It comes set in a plastic tray, which makes it easy to fix to the wall, vertically or horizontally, using two plastic brackets with C-shaped profiles. As in the original version, one model of the mirror has thirteen holes fitted with bayonet sockets linked to a printed circuit applied to the plastic tray at the back, into which bulbs can be inserted.
